Our round up of the biggest hair trends for 2017 to try now!
Forget the lob, 2017 is set to be the year of ‘down-to-there’ hair. We’ve seen silky strands popping up on everyone from Kylie Jenner to Beyoncé but not all of us are blessed with the mermaid gene. If you struggle with breakage or your hair just won’t grow past shoulder length, hair extensions are a great option to give you your Ariel moment.
If you’re lusting after this look our weft hair extensions make a great way to extend, the quick and easy method involves attaching the weft extensions to your own hair with micro rings which are clammed into place for up to 6/8 weeks. Not only is the hair re-usable we offer a wide selection of longer lengths up to 24” you can decide how long you really want to go!
If you’re looking for more of a temporary measure then our award winning clip-in extensions are an easy and fast way to extend like Arianna Grande. The Double Hair Set in 22” is already a firm favourite with celebrity stylists and influencers a like, guaranteed to ensure luscious locks.
Whether swept back, worn down loose or precision styled into a glossy up-do, celebrity stylist Jen Atkin is predicting wet look hair to take the red carpet by storm and she’s already road tested the look on some of her famous clients.
Extensions are a major part of making this look work to add bulk to the hair especially when it’s wet and it’s super easy to achieve. Shop the Jen Atkin Collection by Beauty Works.
Our top tips for getting the wet look down:
1. Start by applying a moisture mask or serum such as the Beauty Works Argan Serum
2. Dispense the product evenly through the hair using a wide tooth comb to create a gorgeous shine.
3. Keep a little product and a comb in your bag to keep your hair in place whilst you’re out and about and team with a bold lip or smokey eye to finish the look.
It seems the metallic effect isn’t going anywhere for 2017 – heavy metal hues look set to continue popping up in your Instagram feed for some time yet. From slight shimmering highlights to full on frozen and everything in between, the unicorn look has been a firm favourite of ours.
If you fancy a change, this experimental colour has minimal commitment and will wash out of the hair gradually during a period of two to four weeks depending on the depth of colour you use. In order to go grey you need to pre-lighten the hair to a white blonde and then tone with a grey mix.
Do bear in mind that lightening your hair to this tone can weaken it, so invest in some good products to keep the hair looking healthy. Top Tip –Stock up on hair masks and argan serums to keep your hair strong and hydrated! Shop shade Silver.
Stay tuned for some new metallic hues hitting the shelves in March 2017, they’re mind blowing.
As seen on the likes of Cara and Gigi, the unicorn braid has officially reached it-girl status. Parting plaits, as they’re otherwise known are plaits which sit either as tiny, often intricate plaits in the parting or in a raised ‘unicorn style’ right down the centre parting.
To recreate the look simply decide how intricate or chunky you want yours to be and section off the hair you don’t want to include in the plait, then starting French braiding. It can be a tricky one to do on yourself but practice makes perfect and the results are worth the extra effort! Add extra bulk with a set of clip-in extensions.
Part it like you mean it! This season is all about the severe side part and is possibly the easiest trend of the bunch! On one hand it can be elegant and girly and on the other edgy and rock chic but either way, it works. Just changing where you part your hair is such a quick way to change things up a bit.
All you need is a comb, a small amount of argan serum to keep the fly-aways at bay and a shine spray for A-list execution. Definitely one to experiment with in front of the mirror tonight.
Ditch the trips to the salon ‘cause grown-out roots are a thing girls. If the low maintenance look is what you’re after, you got it with this trend. Reams of celebs have been ditching the traditional dye job in favour of this more relaxed style, from Khloe Kardashian to Jessica Alba to Kate Moss (to name just a few!) Consider it the update on the ombre do.
Extensions that blend in with an outstretched root can be hard to come by and extensions that match the ends of your hair perfectly but don’t blend with the root can be one of the biggest giveaways for extension wearers. Our Root Colour Collection designed by celebrity stylist Jen Atkin prevents all that. These easy blend in colours are like no other and ensure there are no visible tell-tale signs of extensions.
